    STEPS TO A SMOKE–FREE HOTEL
 
 
1. Complete application form and send back to Smoke-Free Hotel Program, Green Leaf Foundation

2. Complete questionnaires and send back to Smoke-free Hotel Program, Green Leaf Foundation within 30 days after receiving Smoke-free Hotel Standard, together with supporting documents, photo and otherwideness for the Program Certifier to later inspect the hotel.
   
 
 
 
3. Steps to inspect and certify Smoke-free Hotel are as follows.
 
3.1 Meeting with responsible persons and the hotel’s Committee Members of Smoke-free Hotel Project to discuss about the inspection steps and details of the questionnaires.
3.2 Smoke-free Hotel Certifiers will inspect all areas according to the completed Smoke- free Standard within one (1) day.
3.3 Smoke-free Hotel Certifiers will meet again with the Hotel’s Smoke-free Project Committee at the end of inspection to report the progress of the inspection.
3.4 The result of inspection will be tallied to classify the hotel into either Gold Star or Silver Star Award.
 
 
4. Congratulations and celebration of Smoke-free Stars will be taken place as follows.
 
4.1 The 1st Announcement in June 2549
4.2 The 2nd Announcement in December 2549
4.3 The 3rd Announcement in July 2550
 
 
5. Green Leaf Foundation will continue of maintain Smoke-free Hotel Standard by sending the questionnaire to be completed by Awarded Smoke-free Hotel and randomly inspect the Hotel.
 
 
6. Smoke-free Hotel Program will produce Smoke-free Directory to recognize those honorary smoke-free hotels which help smoke-free the hotels promote and wellness and fulfillment of lives.
 
 
7. If a Smoke-free Hotel Award to Gold-Star Award the hotel can ask for the questionnaire and re-inspection Cost for the upgrade from Silver to Gold Star Smoke-free certificate is Baht 10,000 while will be the cost for the reprocess and inspection.
 

Please note, there no cost to participate to be certified by Smoke-free Hotel Program, the 1st times because the Smoke-free hotel Certification Program is sponsored by Thai Health Promotion Foundation during the year 2006-2007 before the 1st 300 hotels.
